WINSTON-SALEM — The words, “This is our Selma. Forward together” echoed throughout Union Baptist Church Sunday night in Winston-Salem during the North Carolina NAACP’s Voting Rights Ecumenical Service.

Sunday night’s service included speakers and guests from a variety of faiths and groups, including the Rev. Dr. John Mendez of Emanuel Baptist Church, Imam Khalid Griggs of Community Mosque, Rabbi Leah Citrin of Temple Beth Or, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Wendsler Nosie of the Apache Nation.
